Hellboy by Mike Mignola
I think this is sacriledge or something but I inked a Mike Mignola Hellboy piece today. I am, nor will I ever be an inker but I love Mignolas work and the easiest way to figure out someone's style is inking it. At least that's how it is for me.
Mignola once said in an interview that he only draws blocks of light. Well, inking his work made me realise very fast what he meant. I made the mistake of adding black to white as I really should have added white to black in a lot of parts. It is incredible how he really does use the most basic of shapes to do these magical pictures.
But yeah, nothing fancy. Started to color it too but then I couldn't make myself mutilate the work of two of my heroes. After all, Dave Stewart is a god.
