Danerys Targaryen

I just started my summer vaction and wanted to do something fun and light for starters. So I put Game of Thrones on and started doodling. Oddly enough it turned into another Dany. What a suuurpriiiise...
I’ve been playing a lot with this combo of painting and vector graphics lately. Still need to hone it a lot but I like the combination.

Here's a couple steps

Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age

Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age
I very seldom paint stuff for friends. One of the rare occasions was a sketch of Joshua Homme for my BFF  years ago. Due to lack of time it was unfinished but I always kept saying I’d finish it one day. Well I never did. So I made her a new one.

Natalie Portman in Leon

The finished piece
A speed paint of Natalie Portman in Leon. I did this in between work just for the fun of it. I hardly ever do anything this fast and unrefined but I was quite happy with how it turned out. I at first planned to refine it more but then decided it's best as it is.

Didn't really save steps to this but here is one early save.

Painting of... Something

Finished painting
So every now and then when I get super tired but can't sleep I end up taking an old unfinished painting of mine and just play with it. And then weird shit like this happens. I have no idea why head is like that but I like it.This one isn't actually as old as the ones I normally tinker with as I only sketched it earlier this week. The change from sketch to this was... Interesting to say the least. SO here are the steps. As you can see I had nooo idea where I was going with this :D

I might still change this up completely at some point but for now I'm kinda happy with it.
As weird as it is :D

Chris Evans as Captain America

After seeing Captain America the Winter Soldier I got home and started doodling a bit which then kinda turned into this painting. It’s far from perfect or finished but I doubt I’ll ever actually work any more on this as I kinda like the rough edges of it :)

Oh and about the movie! It was huge, action packed and loud. Still it managed to dodge the largest cliches and have enough great things that I enjoyed it fully. Winter Soldier was in fact done so well that I was grinning like an idiot a large part of the movie. Not to mention Evans who IS Cap. I still think the first movie was far superior to this one but that was to be expected.

Here's a couple of steps

Here I was thinking about giving him the t-shirt from the first movie but decided to go with the uniform after all.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock

I've been doodling this fellow obsessively all day. Took me three tries in between meetings but now it's close enough for me to be fine with it. Actually the first thing I've had time to draw for myself this year. About time! And happy new year to you all!
